PROVIDENCE, R.I. – July 13, 2019

●     Perry Jones (13 pts on 5 of 9 shooting) stepped up to help Enemies earn third consecutive win of the season.

●     Andre Emmett (15 pts) and Jason Maxiell (12 pts, 4 reb) lead 3’s Company to its first victory, leaving the Ball Hogs in search of a first victory.

●     BIG3 continues tomorrow, with three games at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Games begin at 12:00PM ET and will broadcast on CBS and CBS Sports Network.

Game Recaps:

Power 50 (3-1) vs Ghost Ballers 36 (2-2)

Video Highlights:

Coach Nancy Lieberman and reigning champion Power looked to rebound from its first loss of the season on Saturday afternoon. Ricky Davis and Jamario Moon didn’t make things easy in the first half, with a two-man game that helped the Ghost Ballers jump out to a 25-20 lead at intermission. The team shot an efficient 8-for-15 in the half, including a 4-point shot from Alex Scales.

Power captain and BIG3 scoring leader Cuttino Mobley was sidelined with a calf injury for the game. However, the University of Rhode Island alumnus still managed to contribute, serving as a vocal presence from the bench, in what proved to be a chippy contest.

The verbal back-and-forth did not serve the Ghost Ballers as well in the second half. Beyond a few flashy drives from the always energetic Mike Taylor, the team struggled to find the basket. Meanwhile, Power hit 60-percent of its shots in the half and 51-percent for the game.

Ultimately, Power captain Corey Maggette – who made his Season 3 debut in Providence – proved to be too much. The 2018 BIG3 MVP jumped right back into form, pouring in 23 points, grabbing 15 boards and leading Power to its third victory on the season.
