SXSW Takeover ft. Mike Willl Made It, Rae Sremmurd, YFN Lucci, Carnage, Maxo Kream, SOBxRBE & More – Video Recaps Here!

DNES Marketing’s marquee event, the SXSW Takeover made it’s return to Austin, TX last week, presenting three stages full of Hip-Hop performances over three days offering a range for fans of all ages and tastes. The Nxt Gen Takeover and the Heavyweight Takeover showcased some of the brightest, most buzzworthy newcomers including FreeWiFi, Dax Mpire, Maxo Kream, and more; some, like Ugly God and 24HRS made a much deserved return appearance at the annual concert series, showing an impressive amount of growth from their previous performances.

SXSW TAKEOVER NXT GEN TAKEOVER DAY 1

While the Nxt Gen Takeover served to introduce it’s crop of young performers, the Heavyweight Takeover stage, sponsored by New Era, was a celebration of artists whose names are already ringing bells across the Hip-Hop world. Following performances by IDK, Maxo Kream, SOBxRBE, Tierra Whack and more, headliner Carnage took the stage showing exactly what has made his transition from the EDM world back to Hip-Hop so seemless.

SXSW TAKEOVER ’18 HEAVYWEIGHT ROYAL RUMBLE DAY 2

Day 3 of the 2018 SXSW Takeover, presented in partnership with BMI, NEW ERA, ASICS and Ear Drummers Records brought both established names and newcomers together with YFN Lucci and Trae Tha Truth closing out the BMI Pre-Party, following opening performances by Duckwrth and Tayla Parx, for example; while Mike Will Made It showcased new talent from his Ear Drummers imprint, including his latest signee Trouble before turning the stage over to Rae Sremmurd.
