The Nxt Gen Takeover and the Heavyweight Takeover showcased some of the brightest, most buzzworthy newcomers including FreeWiFi, Dax Mpire, Maxo Kream, and more; some, like Ugly God and 24HRS made a much deserved return appearance at the annual concert series, showing an impressive amount of growth from their previous performances.

While the Nxt Gen Takeover served to introduce it’s crop of young performers, the Heavyweight Takeover stage, sponsored by New Era, was a celebration of artists whose names are already ringing bells across the Hip-Hop world. Following performances by IDK, Maxo Kream, SOBxRBE, Tierra Whack and more, headliner Carnage took the stage showing exactly what has made his transition from the EDM world back to Hip-Hop so seemless.
