According to TMZ, who seem to have reliable sources, when Tekashi 6ix9ine arrived at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center on November 19 he was confronted in the intake area by a group of Crips. The group appear to have been awaiting his arrival. The tense showdown led to one inmate stepping to 6ix9ine and allegedly ‘G Checked’ (tested his gangsta) him.
TMZ was reportedly told that the Crip told Tekashi “he better understand who’s in charge,” their source said. “And the only thing that saved him from a beatdown was the fact prison staffers quickly intervened.”
Regarding the incident 6ix9ine’s attorney, Lance Lazzaro, released a statement stating, “6ix9ine was being threatened in jail. However, he was not scared nor did he request being removed. The Prisons, acting upon these threats, removed him to a different facility to eliminate the threat.”
