Wale has signed a new record deal with Warner Bros. Records, the original home of Maybach Music. Wale was previously signed to Atlantic Records for the past six years and its through that deal that he had been releasing music. He recently released a song titled, “Negotiations,” in which he touched on what he was going through. But at the time it was just a record for fans. With the inking of his new deal the inspiration and notion behind the song becomes clear and in perspective.

From Atlantic Records perspective, Wale’s records sales had been low and declining over the years. One of Atlantic’s most lucrative artist right now is Cardi B and her recent and on going success raises the bar for all on the label’s rooster. Warner Bros. at this point may be a blessing in disguise for Wale as the label seem very enthusiastic about his signing. Warner’s current rooster includes DVSN, Mac Miller, PartyNextDoor and Lil Pump. So be on the look out for new music coming from Wale and some potential collabos with his new label mates.
